Location: SE 507867 to SE 505857

Access: Turn south at the cross-roads at the top of Sneck Yate Bank(SE 509877). Park by the second gate on the left. Walk through the gate along the path southwest to the top of the field, through the gate and walk to the edge. Alternatively, fly onto the ridge from Sutton Bank.

Height: 1050ft AMSL. Face approx 500ft.

Length: Approximately 1/2 mile. Approx 3 miles from Sutton Bank.

Description: Inland bowl (similar to nearby Sutton Bank). Gently sloping fields at the bottom rising to a steeply sloping, rocky, grass covered hill with distributed trees. The slope gives way to a cliff at the south end.

Suitability: Experienced pilots only.

There are no specific rules relating to this site. Just remember to follow the country code, fly sensibly and keep a look out for members of the public.

Landings:

Comments: No recent reports of flying activity. Top landings are possible but
difficult  due to trees and rotor from the quarry. Bottom landings are                 
restricted and should be crosswind. Note the POWER LINES in the       
bottom field BEFORE take-off. The site does not work as well as
Sutton Bank but may be an alternative if the wind is crossed.
Prone to turbulence in moderate winds.
